St Peter's on the Quay

WELCOME TO ST PETER'S CHAPEL!

St Peter's is one of the three churches that, together, are the places of worship and gathering for Minehead Parish. The other two are St Michael's (North Hill) and St Andrew's (Wellington Square). On these pages you will find information relating to this wonderful building, St Peter's.

For detailed information on services, events, gatherings - i.e. what is happening in the parish - please go the Parish page. You will find the link to the left of this page (Parish), or you can click the link below (Our Parish).

St Peter's is a small chapel on the quayside, between The Old Ship Aground pub and The Harbour Cafe. St Peter's was originally a salt cellar, but was converted to a chapel with a room above (St Peter's Upper Room), many years ago.  You can find out more on this site by following the links to the left!

Our regular worship at St Peter's:

Sunday's:

  • 2nd Sunday - 6pm Contemplative Evening Prayer
  • 3rd Sunday - 8am Book of Common Prayer (BCP) Holy Communion

During the week:

  • Every Wednesday - 10am BCP Holy Communion

In addition to the above regular worship - keep an eye out for special services in and around St Peter's throughout the year.

Minehead Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the Church of England's House of Bishops guidance and policies, and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officers (PSOs). Our Diocese of Bath & Wells’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSOs or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor using the details from the button below. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
