St Bartholomew's church is visited by many people who enjoy discovering signs of our history, as it is next to the ruins of Moreton Corbet Castle. The church building, which is open during daylight hours each day, is there as a haven of peace and prayer, and there is also a service there each Sunday at 9.30am -
1st and 3rd Sundays - Holy Communion
2nd and 4th Sundays - Morning Prayer
5th Sundays - services often shared with the other churches of the benefice, Stanton and Shawbury.
Moreton Corbet is grouped with the neighbouring churches of Shawbury and Stanton upon Hine Heath - all three buildings were begun in the 12th Century and are open daily if you would like to visit them.
We are glad to hear from those interested in baptism [christening], marriage, or simply in finding out more about the Christian faith which the three churches have represented here over almost a millennium.
There is a list kept in a purple folder on the table just inside the church to record the names of people we have been asked to pray for, and you are very welcome to add other names if you wish.
