News From the Friends of St Peter's

The Friends of St Peter’s Church (FOSP) is a group of local people whose aim is to help with the material upkeep of the Church and its churchyard. This is done in various ways – a range of which include - spring cleaning the inside of the church, a rota of flower arrangers, a monthly work party in the churchyard and fundraising.

The committee members try to hold a variety of events throughout the year, some of which have included the Church Fete, a plant sale, a musical evening in a local garden and a social get together in the Church with wine and nibbles while choosing photographs of the area for our annual calendar.

It can be a good way to meet neighbours and those people living in Neatishead and its surrounding villages – churchgoers and non churchgoers, young and old alike!

The churchyard is a public open space and full of history.  It is peaceful and beautiful in all seasons of the year.  The Church is there for everyone in the parish for weddings, funerals, baptisms and other events. The school room, attached to the Church, is useful for smaller meetings. The FOSP works closely with the Church Council.

Look out for any forthcoming events and the rota of Church services in the ‘NIB” Magazine and advertised around the village. If you would like to know more about the FOSP and/or would like to become a member (it’s free!), please contact Nick Fowle - email n.fowle@btinternet.com
