JAM Club

JAM (Jesus and Me) Club provides teaching for children of mainly primary school age, although the children attending regularly range in age from 2 to 10 years.

The method of teaching uses Godly Play, a style of worship using traditional storytelling techniques to communicate bible stories, encouraging the children to 'wonder' about what the stories may mean to them.

The children spend the first part of the service in Church, then leave for their own worship session in the JAM Club room. They remove their shoes before entering the room, to remind them that they are treading on Holy Ground. Sessions start with a song, followed by the Godly Play story. Prayer time follows, when the children are encouraged to write their own prayers, which are then shared in the circle.

The children return to the main part of the church in time for the Communion prayers.

JAM Club takes place every Sunday, except the 1st Sunday in the month, when the children take part in Family Service. For more information, please speak to Alison on (01723) 363205, or Janet on (01723) 375137.
