Community Hall

There is a wide variety of activities available in the Community Hall to suit all age groups. In addition to the Mini-Music and Parent & Toddler Group, which you can read about on their own related pages, we also have the following:

Brownies and Guides meet on Wednesday evenings during term time at 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm respectively.

The boys' unformed groups meet in the Scout Hut, which is adjacent to the Church. The Beavers meet on Mondays and the Cub Scouts on Wednesdays, both at 6:15 pm. The Scouts meet on Wednesdays at 7:30 pm, and the Explorer Scouts on Tuesdays at 8:00 pm. All the above sessions are term time only.

The Afternoon Fellowship meets monthly  for a game of Scrabble and refreshments. The cost is just 50p.

The Troid Ryu Karate group meets on Friday evenings.

The Newby School of Dance meets each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evening.

In additon to the above, the Social Committee organises a wealth of activities throughout the year, when we share friendship and fellowship, as well as raising extra funds for the Church. These include the Summer Fair, Christmas Fair, coffee mornings, and we have also held Gardener's Question Times, Fashion Shows and many other events. For children we hold Christmas parties, Shrove Tuesday Pancake parties, and an annual Summer Fun Day. We have also run  week-long Play Schemes for primary aged children, and Advent and Lent after school clubs.

When not in use, the hall is available for private bookings. For  more information and cost, please telephone Miss M Arnall on (01723) 374873.

For contact details for any of the above groups, please either e-mail or call the Vicar, Mike Leigh, whose contact details can be found on the Homepage.
