Sparklers Service

Sparklers Services are specially for pre-school children and their carers, and are held approximately once every half-term. Each service starts with the lighting of the Sparklers candle, accompanied by the Sparklers song, then the children  hear a story. After more songs, the children usually have a treasure hunt around the church - for example, following the story of the Good Shepherd, the children hunted for cut out sheep. After more songs, there follows a very short and simple prayer time, then the children blow out the Sparklers candle.

Services last about twenty minutes, and start at 10:30 am, but children and their carers are welcome to attend the Parent & Toddler Group session, which starts at 10:00 am. Refreshments are served afterwards in the Community Hall.

The hall is kept locked during the service, but toilet and baby change facilities are available in the church.
