MAUNDY THURSDAY EUCHARIST
We remember the last supper as Jesus gathered his disciples together in the upper room to share a very special meal in which his own life was to be his gift to them. He showed his humility by washing their feet, then after the breaking of the bread he led them to the graden to pray before his arest. Tonight we remember these events with an act of foot washing, before Holy Communion, then a time of silent prayer in the Lady Chapel which is decorated like a garden with flowers and candles. (watch open until midnight)
Thursday 1st April 2010 at 8:00 PM for 1 hour and 40 minutes.
MAUNDY THURSDAY WATCH
We remember the events following the last supper when Jesus prayed in the Garden. For two and a half hours until just before midnight we keep silent prayer in the Lady Chapel which is decorated like a garden with flowers and candles. At 11:45 the arrest of Jesus is read, and we conclude with the Lords Prayer and leave in silence. This time of prayer is by candlelight, before the reserved Sacrament. Just come in at any point or return at 11:30 for half an hour... we keep silence, and watch with Jesus - watch and pray.
