If you are new to Northfleet, or have lived here for some time but not quite crossed the threshold, you are very welcome indeed to our magnificent church. The current building is 600 years old but we think there has been a church on this site since Saxon times.  Our worship is drawn from the Modern Catholic tradition of the Church of England and is reverent and traditional but accessible and open to all. We are a friendly community who welcome everyone, especially families with children. We hold baptisms almost every week and local people have a deep affection and personal link with St. Botolph's, many of whom were themselves baptised here.

We have probably the oldest rood screen in Kent (14th century) which survived damage caused during the Reformation in the 16th Century. There is also a very arresting hanging rood of Christ reigning in glory from the Cross, rendered in a very different, 20th century style from much of the rest of the decor which stretches from Norman, medieval and Victorian features.

Northfleet is changing. The proposed Paramount Theme Park (as at September 2015) and the possibility of the Ebbsfleet Garden City development will bring change and opportunity and we are committed to serving the community during this transition and into the future. There may well be a number of new people moving to the area -perhaps you are one of them-as Northfleet changes. We would love to welcome you to St. Botolph's as a place in which you may learn more of and know of the love of Jesus Christ.

Sunday

Junior Church
Our new Junior Church is an exciting addition to our weekly worship; children from age 5-11 make their way into our church hall just after the parish Eucharist begins at 10.00. They will be led in worship including games, bible readings, stories, craft activities and more. Our Junior Church leader is Gill, our Children and Families Missioner and is assisted by an able group of helpers (all with DBS documentation up to date). For children under 5 we have toys and books in a dedicated area of the church where they may be supervised by parents and carers.
Every second third fourth fifth and last Sunday at 10:00 AM for ½ hour
Parish Eucharist
A traditional Parish Eucharist service in the beautiful and ancient setting of St. Botolph's. The worship follows the modern Catholic tradition of the Church of England with a reverence for the Blessed Sacrament (the Body and Blood of Christ in form of bread and wine), lovely music from our robed choir and thought-provoking sermons which encourage all to reflect on their relationship with Jesus Christ and with our friends and neighbours. St Botolph's is open to all and our worship is accessible and friendly. We particularly love to see families in this service.
Every first second and fourth Sunday at 10:00 AM for 1 hour
Family Friendly Refreshments Common Worship
All Age Eucharist
This service contains all the elements from a traditional Parish Eucharist, but it is especially tailored to suit all ages, including children and families. In this service, the children remain in church rather than leaving the service for Sunday School. The sermon is replaced with a more informal talk and the hymns are usually well-loved by all generations.
Every third Sunday at 10:00 AM for ¾ hour
Family Friendly Creche Refreshments Common Worship
Sunday Evening Worship
Each Sunday we meet in the Lady Chapel at St Botolph's Church for a different act of worship each week. The general pattern is service of Evening Prayer (Common Worship), Iona worship, Healing and Wholeness (with Laying-on of Hands and Anointing), BCP Holy Communion, BCP Compline, but these are subject to change. From May to October we meet at 6.30pm, otherwise we meet at 4pm.
Every Sunday at 4:00 PM for 50 minutes
