St Mary's is a historic church, situated in South Gloucestershire, that is very much concerned with both the present and the future. Supported by a strong and committed congregation, we try and do justice to both the traditional and the modern. We are very aware of our responsibility to be a parish church.
We try to reach out to the community, reach up to God, and reach forwards to the vision He has for us. There are discussion groups and lunch groups all through the year as well as an Alpha Course each autumn.
There is a Breakfast Club at the School Hall every Sunday in term time for young children and their parents. This was recently featured as an example of successful growth and outreach in the Diocesan 'Going For Growth' video.
The stated Mission of St Mary's is 'to provide stimulating and challenging worship, assist each other to grow in faith in Christ, and to show his love in the parish and beyond'.

Parish Communion is on the 1st and 3rd Sundays; the 2nd Sunday is Morning Worship, and we have a Contemporary Service on the 4th Sunday. 5th Sundays are Morning Prayer.

Breakfast Club
At Breakfast Club we provide an alternative for those who are not at ease with the traditional forms of service at 10am in a church building (both at St Mary's and the Methodist church). We meet in the School Hall at Olveston School on Sunday mornings from 10am to 11am. (We go in to the last 10 minutes of the service at St Mary's or the Methodist church once a month) For those who want, we also have 15 minutes of reflection and more "grown-up" prayer and worship at 11.30am after we've cleared away the Breakfast Club activities etc. For more information please contact Helen Webb (01454 615827) or helenw@fish.co.uk
