About our Parish

Parish Population is about 7,000. The congregation size is 114 on the Electoral Roll (including St Luke's mission church). St John's church stands due west of the west gateway of the Cathedral Precincts, separated from it by Cathedral Square and the Guildhall. St John the Baptist Church is located in the heart of the city and the building is a focal point in the city centre. The tower is visible from all around the city.

Major civic events continue to be held in St John's. Strong links exist with the Royal Air Force Cadets, Sea Cadets, and local schools.
