About our Parish

This rural parish on the edge of the Peak District consists of Barlow village (Great Barlow and Commonside) and scattered hamlets around. It includes a small part of the Chesterfield Sheepbridge industrial estate. Inhabitants include those who work in the agricultural and tourist industries, and commuters to Chesterfield, Sheffield and Manchester. There is a Church of England Voluntary Controlled village school.
