Northmoor
About our ParishThere are two centres within the parish - the village of Northmoor itself and Bablockhythe residential mobile home estate one mile away on the River Thames. There is also a holiday caravan park at Bablockhythe, active in the summer.
Approximately 200 people reside in the village, and 100 at Bablockhythe. Most people find work outside the village, although there are two small craft and workshop estates. There are four farms in Northmoor. There are active gravel workings within the Parish boundary. The village has a new and well used village hall, and a Public House. There is another Public House at Bablockhythe. No new building is permitted in the village, and there is insufficient low cost housing for young people.
Population: 300
