About our Parish

ST. MARY'S CHURCH, SWILLINGTON (GRADE 11*) is the main focal point of the village, situated on a prominent corner at the junction of Church Lane and the A642.

St. Mary’s is a lively, friendly church. There are uniformed organisations for all ages up to 16 years, scouts & guides, brownies and beavers. The Mothers’ Union meet once a month.

We also have many social activities; choir and band concerts, line dances, speakers, etc. Everyone is welcome and more details can be found on our notice boards.

We have styles of worship and other activities to suit all tastes. Whatever your background or experience, you’ll be made really welcome.

We are also available for Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals, please ring one of the contact numbers for further details.

Mostly modern hymns led by a music group
Talks are practical messages applying the Bible to issues we all face in life
Lasts approximately 45 minutes

Other Sundays at 10.00a.m.
Communion using Common Worship

The best of traditional Church of England
worship
Traditional and modern hymns accompanied on the organ
Sermons are brief, but thought provoking
Lasts approximately 60 minutes

Wednesdays at 9.30a.m.

A service of Holy Communion or Morning Prayer for those who like something midweek.
