St Catherine's Church

About our Parish

St Catherine’s Church is set in a secluded position on the edge of Sacombe Park, below the hamlet of Sacombe Green, and overlooking Sacombe Pound. The church is a place of great tranquillity. It is likely that Christian worship has taken place here since the 11th century.

Although the parish of Sacombe is the smallest within the St Albans Diocese, the church is very much alive. Since 2005 it has been part of the benefice of Standon and The Mundens with Sacombe.

Whether you live locally or are passing by, you are most welcome to come inside for private reflection or prayer or to join us in worship.
