About our Parish

The village is located on the easterly bank of the River Deben and although having a village centre surrounding the parish church, its has grown with a 'ribbon' development along the adjoining Orford and Sutton Roads nestling in an environment of heathland, woodland and sandlings.It's easterly side marks the begining of the designated area of Oustanding Natural Beauty named Suffolk Coast and Heaths. Lying within the parish is the part of the National Trust site of 'Sutton Hoo.'
