We are a modern Anglo-Catholic Parish. St Jude's is a modern Church building with a small separate side Chapel, Garden of Remembrance and a Community Hall. The church has disabled access and a loop system for the hard of hearing. Its interior is modern in design, the absence of a screen making it easy to observe the altar area during the service.
The Community Hall currently hosts the following organisations U3A Family History group, the NCT (Bumps and Babes group), the Netherton Women's Fellowship, the Fuschia and Pelgaronium Society, a Line dancing group, Recorders Galore and a Hindu Praise group. The Hall, which will hold up to 80 people, is available for private hire.
The Community Hall has recently been improved by essential renovation work for which St Jude's obtained a grant funded throught the Landfill Communities Fund of Waste Recycling Group (WRG) administered and distributed by Waste Recycling Environment (WREN)
The Landfill Communities Fund (LCF) currently enables landfill site operators to divert a proportion of their annual landfill tax liability to Environmental Bodies. For further information see www.wren.org.uk
With the completion of this work St Jude's is hoping to offer its facilites for hire by community groups. The Church members are beginning a regular Mums and Tots session on 14 September on Monday mornings 10.00am. For further information please contact the number below.
For information about baptisms, weddings or other church services contact the Rev Geoffrey Keating on 01733 264169.
Dates and details of special services and occasional events (eg children's craft sessions, concerts, church sales) can usually be found on the opther events page. As we sometimes combine the two Sunday morning services please check this page.
