St Mary's is an ancient village Church which is unusual for its simplicity and lack of stained glass. This was the result of war-time doodle bug which shattered almost all the old glass.
It is set in beautiful surroundings on a loop off the Icknield Way.
In October 2009 we completed the transformation of the South Transept which now provides an Upper Room with a wonderful view, and below it a kitchen, easy access toilet, and further meeting space. The organ has been moved to the West End of the nave and a new lighting scheme has been introduced.

Holy Communion
A service without music following the Book of Common Prayer, including a brief sermon.
Every first Sunday at 8:00 AM for 40 minutes

Holy Communion (Third Sunday)
A service without music following Common Worship Order One, with readings for the day and a brief sermon
Every third Sunday at 8:00 AM for 40 minutes

Family Service
Modern worship suitable for all ages, with an interactive talk and a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary songs.
Every first Sunday at 11:00 AM for 50 minutes

Parish Communion
Follows Common Worship Order One, sung, with hymns, led by a small choir.
Every second third fourth and fifth Sunday at 11:00 AM for 1 hour

Footprints
A fun club for 4-10year olds during the third Sunday Parish Communion. Bible story, games and craft with a friendly team. Footprints rejoins main church for Communion.

Wednesday

Holy Communion
A said service held in the chancel
Every first third and fifth Wednesday at 9:10 AM for ½ hour

Morning Prayer
A said service held in the chancel.
Every second and fourth Wednesday at 9:10 AM for ½ hour

Little Hands
Craft activity in church for under 5's and their parents/carers, followed by refreshments.
Every third Wednesday at 1:30 PM for 1 hour

Thursday

Tiny Toes
A brief service for pre-school children, their parents and carers. A fun time of worship in song, story and games, followed by refreshments
During termtime Thursday at 10:30 AM for ½ hour
