Church Schools

Fleetwood's Charity C of E School News

We are delighted to be able to tell you that our 'school on t'hill' has achieved fabulous results in the 2012 SATS (national assessment tests).

100% of pupils in year 6 (top juniors to many of us!) have achieved at least Level 4 with 80% achieving level 5 in reading.

93% of pupils in year 6 have achieved a Level 4 in Maths with 53% achieving Level 5.

Level 5 is the grade expected for a 13 year old! These scores will probably put our school in the top 10% of schools nationally.

Congratulations to the pupils, staff and parents on this outstanding achievement.

The school entered the Young Wyre in Bloom competition for the first time this year. They received a gold medal. Congratulations to them on this award.

As the term draws to a close we thank all who are involved in the education of our children and young people for their hard work throughout the year.

The children, staff and parents will be in Church for their End of Year service on Friday 20 July at 9am. All are welcome to pray and give thanks with them.

St Aidan's Church of England Technology College maintains close links with the five parishes of Over Wyre, and was instrumental in establishing our youth chaplaincy two years ago to provide in-house spiritual guidance, advice and comfort for pupils (see Fiona's Youth Chaplaincy page.)

St Aidan's website is run jointly by staff and students, and it is well worth a visit -
