St Hugh's

St Hugh's is the Parish Church of Quethiock,  situated in very rural South East Cornwall.  It serves  a scattered community in Quethiock village , the hamlets of Blunts, Tilland and Trehunist, and numerous outlying houses and farms.

The church building itself mostly dates back to the 12th or 13th centuries, but the site is far older.  There is a 9th/10th century churchyard cross, which is the tallest above ground in Cornwall.  The churchyard has been closed and there is a separate Council cemetery on the outskirts of the village.

Regulars and visitors alike are warmly welcomed to our weekly services, which are usually followed by refreshments and a good chat!

For enquiries regarding weddings, blessings, baptisms, and funerals, please contact Rev. Li Selman [email protected] or 07790 272714, or Churchwarden, Rachel on 01579 340612.

The church building is open every day for anyone to pop in for private prayer,  a quiet moment, or indeed just to enjoy the beautiful and interesting building.
