We are a local ecumenical partnership with the Methodist Church and we also work closely with the Rastrick Group of Churches and churches together in Brighouse.

We have regular house groups and nurture groups as advertised as well as seasonal ones for Lent.

Annually we also mark Battle of Britain Sunday and Remembrance Sunday which the local RAF Association attend.

for many years we have supported the work of Testimony Faith Homes in Eldoret Kenya.

The parish has an abundance of old persons homes and schools which are visited regluarly. Many of the schools visit the church for teaching sessions and for special events, such as carol services and thanks giving.

A Parent and Toddler Group meet every Thursday 9.30-11am in the Parish Centre.

The Sunday Club, which caters for children from 2-14, meets during termtime on Sunday mornings at 10 am. There is also a holiday club for this age group usually at Easter.

An annual pantomine is produced by St Matthew's Theatrical Society as well as other productions from time to time.

From September 2008 for 10 months we have a Time for God worker from South Korea working with the younger members of the parish and also running a women's drop in centre in the parish centre on Friday mornings.
Jihey has also begun a Christian Union Group which meet at Rastrick High School on Tuesday lunch time.
