St Nicholas, Ruston Parva

We're really glad you're here. We are a group of people passionate about sharing the love of God with those around us. Do come and join us at one of our services. You will be made very welcome.

As a benefice we support the statement from Inclusive Church to the effect that:-

We believe in inclusive church – a church which celebrates and affirms every person and does not discriminate.

We will continue to challenge the church where it continues to discriminate against people on grounds of disability, economic power, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, learning disability, mental health, neurodiversity, or sexuality.

Our friendly congregation are part of the Harthill Deanery and we are very blessed to have a beautiful church and churchyard in this small rural location.

We gather on the third Sunday of each month for our All Age Service of Holy Communion.  If you would like to come along to one of our services it would be great to see you.

All are very welcome.

Remembering, Prayers and Thanksgiving
Sunday 1st November, 11.30am, after the service of Holy Communion at St Martin Church, Burton Agnes.
In the days following the death of someone we love, we can find ourselves in a kind of shock, simply going through the motions as we try to cope with our loss. Even the day of the funeral itself can sometimes feel like a blur.
With this in mind, we warmly invite family and friends to join us for a quiet, reflective time of Remembering, Prayers and Thanksgiving.
This is an opportunity to pause, to remember those we love who have died, and to give thanks for all they have meant to us and continue to mean in our lives. We will light a candle in their memory and hold them, and one another, in prayer.
There may be a few tears, and that is perfectly okay. This is not a service about sadness alone, but one of love, gratitude and hope. It is a gentle space to remember, to give thanks, and to find comfort in the love that remains.
We would be very glad to welcome you, whether your loss is recent or dates back many years. If you are unable to join us in person, please know that you and those you love will be remembered in our prayers.
If you are unable to attend but would like a name, or names, to be remembered and candles lit in their memory, we would be very pleased to do this for you. Equally, if you would like to attend and would appreciate further details, please do get in touch:
