Working alongside our Vicar

 Revd.John Hillier  was licensed to work as a non-stipendiary (ie non-salaried) priest in St. Leonard's parish on September 4th, 2007. John, who was ordained priest in 2002, moved to this area relatively recently, is largely retired rom his architect's practice in South London, and spends two or three days a week working in Sandridge and Jersey Farm to assist our Priest-in-Charge, Revd. Vanessa Cato. He is  involved in preaching, taking services, including baptisms, weddings and funerals, as well as visiting in the parish and helping to develop the ministry of the lay members of the congregation in this area. You may notice him or his motorbike around the parish.
