St Peter's Church, surrounded by an old stone wall with a lych-gate and is accessed through a farmyard on the top of a hill in a very rural area. In 1435 Christians set this place apart for prayer and worship. Using their skill and craftsmanship they built a beautiful church for their worship.
In 1995 responsibility for this Church was vested in the Churches Conservation Trust but the church remains consecrated and we hold six services a year, usually on the fifth Sunday in the month. These are very popular and the first service after Christmas fills this tiny Church. During the annual Rogation service, held at Satterleigh Barton farm adjoining the Church, we walk around the farm and the beautiful countryside asking for God’s blessing on all his creation.
This beautiful church is steeped in history. Come and enjoy the peace and holiness that has existed in this place for centuries, inspiring, teaching and ministering to all through its beauty and atmosphere.
