St Andrew's, Scredington
We hold a weekly service at one of three churches, (Scredington, Swaton and Burton Pedwardine) known as Living Stones. We are friendly and enthusiastic and readily welcome visitors.
Scredington church has two medieval tombs, but is mainly a Victorian rebuild. Our tiny needle spire contains two bells from the 1600s. St Andrews also houses the war memorials for World War one and a memorial to a crew of nine young men onboard a Lancaster plane which crashed on the outskirts of the village during WW2.
The parish of Scredington: St Andrew is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Lincoln’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
