3) PERPENDICULAR PERIOD (c1450)
The North and South walls of the nave which were originally 4'6'' higher as shown by the North-West gable.
The brick paving in the Nave
About this time the Nave was widened and rebuilt, the foundations of the 14th Century Church being under the existing floor.
The Church has been restored at various times throughout its long history - since 1898 some thousands of pounds have been devoted to this work.
With the age of the Church it is an ongoing battle to keep it as we would like.
