For the past forty years St Cuthbert's and Seascale Methodist Church have held United Evening Services on Sundays. Over the last two years the two churches have joined together for worship on a regular basis.
Sunday Services during August will be at St Cuthbert's Church. During September they will be in Seascale Methodist Church, except on Sunday 3 September when a special Patronal Festival Service will be held at 10.00am in St Cuthbert's Church. Wednesday morning Holy Communion at 10.30 will be at St Cuthbert's.
Visit the St Cuthbert's website for details of services and events.
During the coming year St Cuthbert’s PCC plans to bring community activities within the church building. The nearby Church Hall has become a severe drain on resources and has been very much under-used. The Hall is for sale and an area created at the rear of the Church which can be used for community and church activities in an attractive and up-dated setting. Innovations will include a toilet (with facilities for the disabled) and a small kitchen. Many of the existing pews will be removed and sold in order to open up the new space and mobile screens have been bought so that larger or smaller areas can be partitioned off as needed.
Services are now listed on St Cuthbert's website.
