St Mary the Virgin, Sellindge

Welcome to St Mary's, Sellindge, one of the six historic churches in the beautiful Stour Downs Parish. There is a variety of worship on offer across our churches each week, and you will receive a warm welcome at our church -whatever stage of life or faith you are at.

St Mary's is a Festival Church, which means it used for life event services (weddings, christenings and funerals) and has a worship service on days of key festivals in the Church year. The PCC are working on projects to develop and use the space for the community, such as a space for the arts.

Our own website www.stourdowns.org.uk and our Facebook page (Stour Downs Parish) have more details of our events and services.

Rev Chris Denyer can be contacted at the Parish Office on 07526 688826 or at [email protected]. Liz is our Parish Administrator and she works Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9:15am-1:15pm and her email is [email protected]. Sian Hall is our Safeguarding Officer - [email protected].

The parish of Stour Downs is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). The Diocese of Canterbury’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
