St. Stephens was built originally as Godstone Station School, and part of it was a Chapel. It opened for worship on 20th December 1869 and teaching began on 28th February 1870.
It was dedicated as a church on 31st October 1959 when the current village school opened in Hunters Chase. The church is available for all Services and has various rooms for functions and activities.
