AT ALL SAINTS', we describe our church as 'a church rich in spirituality; a church of faith; a church of prayer and praise.

WHICH IS WHAT WE ARE - the oldest Christian foundation in the town, with a wonderful prayerful tradition EXTENDING BACK 1000 YEARS, very much based on the heritage of the Anchoresses, who prayed, lived and died in an Anchorhold or enclosure in the church.

YET, MORE IMPORTANT STILL, WE ARE, a church of love, dignity and respect; a church for all people, in all ages'. It is sad that people sometimes feel 'unaccepted' and 'turned away' - perhaps because of their lifestyle or their sexual orientation, mental illness, social status, or simply because they are different and don't quite fit in.

WE ARE NOT JUST A CHURCH, at All Saints', we are THE CHURCH, as it should be - as Jesus intends us to be - firmly INCARNATED WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY, and our town ...... with a very human face.

Sunday

Solemn Mass
Mass at All Saints' is a solemn and beautiful occasion. The traditions of the Anglican Church are observed, including the wearing of vestments, the use of incense and sanctuary bells during the consecration of the hosts. Hymns are chosen to accompany the solemnity of the Mass, which is usually presided by the Rector, Fr Paul, with two priests in attendance. After Mass we process to the Lady Shrine where further prayers are offered to Our Lady. Every service concludes with the Angelus (Hail Mary). After Mass the congregation usually meet informally over tea, coffee and biscuits.
Every Sunday at 10:00 AM for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Coffee Incense

Wednesday

Mass
Low Mass is said every Wednesday evening at 6:00pm. We alternate between the Lady Chapel, the High Altar or the Anchorhold. This service is usually attended by a small gathering and can provide a quiet period with God during what may well be a busy week.
