St Mary's is home to an active and growing Christian community today. About 250 people come to worship here each Sunday. There are four services on a Sunday offering very different styles of worship (informal for families at 9:30am, traditional with robed choir at 11am) and many activities during the week. We invite people to join us, whether you live locally, or are visiting Bury St Edmunds.

We look forward to seeing you.
St Mary's Church is also well worth a visit during the week. It is one of the largest parish churches in England, and has the second longest aisle and the largest west window of all parish churches. Mary Tudor, the sister of Henry VIII is buried here. We are also the civic church of the Town and Borough. We are open to visitors during the week from 10am - 4pm (3pm in the winter).
We are committed to seeking to worship the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ in the power of the Spirit, to teach the bible, to grow people in faith love and understanding, to equip people to serve and to introduce people to Jesus so that they can find forgiveness and new life in him.
