PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL

Celebrant

Let us open our hearts and minds to God, our Father, in prayer.

Reader

We pray for all Christian teachers that they may be imbued with the spirit of the Gospels. Lord, hear us.

We pray for members of religious communities that they may be examples of Christian dedication and commitment to the ideals of their founders. Lord, hear us.

We pray for those to be confirmed that they may live the Good News with conviction and joy. Lord, hear us.

We pray for those who are sick in mind, body and spirit that they may find healing and comfort. We pray especially for... Lord, hear us.

We pray with thanksgiving for all who have lived faithful lives of disciple-ship and have
inspired us with their faith, especially those who have died that they may enter into the fullness
of God's kingdom.     We remember especially LYNNE LEPINE, COOKIE DENLY and OLIVE MacNEIL and all who have died recently and JOHN FROUD, KEVIN BRIGHTWELL, MARY ROBINSON, BARBARA MORTON, and AGNES CLARK whose anniversaries occur this week.
Rest eternal grant unto them O Lord.......... May they rest in peace.

Rejoicing in the fellowship of our Lady and all the saints, and asking for their prayers, we commend ourselves and all God's people, living and departed, to his unfailing love.

Lord, hear us.

Now let us offer our own prayers in the silence of our hearts.

Celebrant

Gracious Father, we bring these petitions before you and ask you to deepen our faith in order that we may know when to speak and when to be silent, when to act and when to do nothing. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord.
