Church and parish information, service times and contact details for St Mary the Virgin, Speen in the Church of England Diocese of Oxford.
The church is situated in a beautiful part of the Berkshire countryside a short distance from the market town of Newbury. It is a mediæval church built on Saxon Foundations; it was the mother church of Newbury. In 1086 it was recorded in the Domesday Book. It was extended substantially in the Victorian era by the Revd Henry Majendie.
We are a thriving church with a broad outlook.
