The site of St Margaret’s church has been an established place of worship for over 800 years. We have over 200 members on the electoral roll and hold three services each Sunday welcoming an average of 130 people each week.
One of our aims is to build bridges into the community and we welcome many groups to our hall and church, The hall is used on a weekly basis by the following groups:- Rainbows, Keep Fit, ATC, PALLY (for those aged 50+), Tuesday Tots (Parent & Toddler), Mother’s Union, Brownies, Table Tennis, Slimmers, Car Club (Remote Control Cars), Da Bolthole (gaming club for young adults) and Sunday School. The Church building holds two Sunday Services in the morning and Mezza9 is held in the church in the evening. We also run two other services on a Sunday at other locations within the community. A service is held on Tuesday evenings and the Alpha course is run in the church building on Wednesday. The church building is also used for choir practice and music group rehearsals. At Christmas we welcome Ramblers, Guides, Scouts, Schools and Nursery Group for Carols Services. Schools visit us for Harvest assemblies as well as for GCSE art course work and teaching of Holy Communion for GCSE RE. We are striving to be an active church serving and working to benefit our local community.
