St Francis Church is situated in a mainly residential suburb of Rochester, and a commuter town for London.
We aim to be a Christian community, building bridges with local people through childrens work, contacts with local schools and ministering to those who live and work in the area.
Our church fellowship meets at 10.30 am and uses Holy Communion (Common Worship) most weeks (except 2nd Sunday when we have 8 am Holy Communion (BCP) and 10.30 am All Age Worship.
We have plans to reorder our building for community use; install new heating, improve kitchen facilities and ensure that the building is more user-friendly.
We would aim to use the building for groups both large and small to meet for facilities which are needed in the area.

Sunday
Quiet service of Holy Communion with a sermon and no hymns.
Every second Sunday at 8:00 AM for ¾ hour
The worship includes contemporary and traditional music, Bible readings, a sermon and prayers of intercession. Children leave during the service for their own teaching which is led by members of our church who are CRB checked. They return later in the service for communion. We celebrate Holy Communion, which is open to all for whom it is their normal practice. Others (including children) are invited to receive a blessing. Refreshments are available after the service.
Every first third fourth and fifth Sunday at 10:30 AM for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
This takes place at 10.30 am, and is a very relaxed service lasting about 45 minutes, appropriate for the whole family. Some second Sunday services are Parade Services, when we welcome the uniformed organisations.
