Clubs, Groups and Societies

St. John's plays host to many Clubs, Groups and Societies inlcuding:

Church Choir
Services: Usually every 10 a.m. Sunday service (EXCEPT 2nd Sunday) and Evensong (1st Sunday in month).
Practice: Most Thursdays 7 p.m. to approx. 7:45 p.m.


Music Group
Services: 2nd Sunday in the month at the 10 a.m. service
Practice: Friday 7:30 p.m.


St. John-in-Bedwardine Guild of Change Ringers (Bell Ringing)
(Practice: Tuesday 7:30 p.m.) No bellringing is possible at the moment due to the work that needs to be done to the tower (see the News page)


Flower Arranging
Usually meets every Friday morning in the church.

Friendship Group
Meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm; talks, outings, quizzes, parties. For men and women.


Bible Study Fellowship
Meets in the Parish Office (Burroughs’ Room) at 10am every Wednesday for prayer and study.


Bible Reading Fellowship Discussion Group
Meets in the Parish Office (Burroughs’ Room) on the first Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm (may be earlier in Winter months). It is an opportunity for those who follow the Bible Reading Fellowship’s daily reading scheme to gather and reflect on a regular basis. Bible Reading Fellowship materials are also available.


Womens' Fellowship
A group for ladies of retirement age which meets each Tuesday at 2.30pm; talks, tea etc.
