St John's is the parish church of Hartley Wintney and Elvetham.  It is a lively, evangelical Anglican church which serves the whole village community through a host of clubs, courses and activities.

The staff team comprises Rev Canon Robin Ewbank (Vicar), Rev Daran Ward (Curate), Rev Shirley Morris (Pastoral Minister), Jay Norris (Worship Pastor), Jenni Norris (Youth Pastor) and Victoria Frazer (Church Administrator).  They are assisted by many volunteer helpers and homegroup leaders.

The vision statement for St John's is: From acorns to mature oaks, we seek to be a people rooted in Christ, nurtured by God's Word and His Holy Spirit, spreading and sharing the Father's love with all.  The church has a thriving youth and children's ministry as well as women's groups, men's groups and so much more - even including a community radio station "Radio Hartley Wintney" broadcasting to the surrounding area for ten days each June on 87.7FM.

A £2.6m building project, due to be completed for Easter 2013, will provide much needed additional space for the church's growing youth and children's work as well as new halls and facilities for church and community use.  The new building will provide a base for Radio Hartley Wintney, a community drop-in for the elderly and families, offer more facilities for pastoral care, provide a dedicated space for our youth, refreshment facilities, decent offices/counselling rooms for our clergy – and much else besides!  We will also be upgrading our ageing infrastructure with new toilets, better lighting, safer and more accessible entrances, state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment, better storage and a well-equipped kitchen.

St John's Hartley Wintney is a church keen to grow in numbers, in spiritual life and maturity and in love.  Come and get involved - we'll be delighted to welcome you!
