You are welcome to join us for any of our
services. The church is also open for private
prayer during the day.
St Laurence's is a very old (originally Saxon)
Church and is set in an extensive and peaceful
Churchyard which adjoins fields and woods.
Inside it is quiet and simple and has a welcoming
atmosphere which contributes to the peace and
beauty of this holy place.
A modern feature is the Millennium Window over the
West door, which the Parish community generously
gave in 2000. This depicts various scenes of life
in the Village of Lurgashall, both past and
present.
Lurgashall is part of a combined benefice, being linked to the neighbouring Parishes of Ebernoe and Northchapel.

Lent Course
The Reverend Malcolm Pudney will be giving a series of talks on a Lenten theme over a period of six weeks starting on Wednesday 29 February and concluding on Wednesday 4th April. The Course will be held in the Rectory, Northchapel - telephone 01428 707373 for directions. All are welcome.

Ash Wednesday Service
A Service of Holy Communion for Ash Wednesday for the three Parishes of Lurgashall, Ebernoe and Northchapel, to be held in St Laurence, Lurgashall.

Lent Lunch
A simple Lent Lunch, with donations requested for Charity, will be held at Hookhams, Hillgrove, Lurgashall. All are welcome. Please telephone 01428 707203 if directions are needed.

Mothering Sunday Service
A special family service for all children and their mothers on Mothering Sunday. Each child attending will be given a posy of spring flowers to present to their mother at the end of the service.

Annual Parochial Church Meeting
This Meeting is held in Lurgashall Village Hall. It is the Annual Parochial Church Meeting for Lurgashall Parish - effectively the AGM of the Church. All residents of Lurgashall Parish and all members of the wider community of St Laurence within the area are very welcome to attend. At the meeting a report is made upon Church activities over the past year, the accounts are presented for approval and the Parish officers are chosen. There will be refreshments provided following the meeting.

Friday 6th April 2012 at 11:00 AM for 1 hour Easter Sunday Family Service
A Family Service for Easter Sunday. Children will be very welcome, and after the early part of the service they will be welcome to visit some local new-born lambs and then join an Easter Egg Hunt in the Churchyard before returning to Church for a blessing.
