St Mary's is the Anglican Parish Church serving the Village of Datchet.

It is part of the benefice of Colnbrook & Datchet.

'Our Vision' going forward fully supports 'Bishop John's Vision'
of "Living Faith For The Future".

Please do take a few moments to watch our new 'St Mary's Vision Video'.

To view the Video please 'click' on the third entry of 'Pages & Links' in the right hand column of this Website.

Our Worship includes both traditional liturgies and more
informal services.

There is a strong musical tradition and the Church extends a
warm welcome to Worshippers & Visitors from all backgrounds.

Children are welcomed to the main Sunday services.
During normal school term time there is also a Creche and a Sunday School.
Our Child Protection Policy complies with the guidelines set out by the Diocese of Oxford and can be viewed on the "Pages and Links" area of this Website.

Sadly since October 2014 the Church has had to remain locked during the day, following several unwelcome events whilst the building was unattended. This situation will be reviewed in due course as we have a strong desire to make our Church a place of refuge and quiet reflection during daylight hours.

VICAR: Revd. Peter Wyard. (On Sabbatical from September 1st 2014 to 29th November 2014).
During this time please contact the Parish Administrator at the Church Office, our Licensed Lay Minister, or one of the Churchwardens.

What is it all about? During the evenings leading up to Christmas Day, 'nativity sets' of Joseph and Mary travel on a roster basis visiting a different family or place every night. The night Mary and Joseph 'stay' provides a great opportunity to invite guests around to share together the true meaning of Christmas and maybe even have a drink or snack together. If you can't get to church and would like a slot, you can e-mail Patricia Wyard [email protected] with your contact details . You receive the crib on the day you sign up and hand it over to the next family the following day. If you would like to act as a host please sign up on the sheet at the back of the church.

Friends Of St Mary's
Friends of St. Mary's FOSM is an association of people who support our Parish Church - the Church on The Green - and want it to remain at the heart of village life, now and for future generations. Though members may not necessarily want to attend its services, at some time in their lives they may look to St. Mary’s to host a Wedding, a Baptism or even a Funeral, and they help support the church through an annual subscription. The financial amount is decided by each member (minimum £10) and as well as providing FOSM members with a valuable connection to church, it helps, vitally, to keep St. Mary’s ‘open for business’. There is another side to the Friends - an annual social calendar more focussed on socialising than fund raising. The FOSM Committee seeks to offer a programme of activities for FOSM members to enjoy. Actually, non-members are welcome to join in all those activities too but the cost to them is always more than to members. Some activities are actually free to FOSM members but not to non-members, even though they may be regular church attenders. How to join: If you would like to become a member of FOSM, support the Church on The Green and join its social activities, please contact Ron Piggott.
