St Mary's Parish "Away Day"
We are once again having an our annual St Mary's Church 'Away Day'. This year it will be on Saturday 16th October at the beautiful Chiltern setting of the Sue Ryder Hospice in Nettlebed, Oxfordshire. The event will run from 10.00am to 3.30pm and the theme of the day will be "Sharing Our Gifts". There will be various activities and Speakers to facilitate on the day and a time for worship together. Tea & Coffee will be provided, but bring a Packed Lunch for break time. Got Children ? No Problem !!! Bring them along as a Creche will be provided. There's a sign up sheet at the back of Church or you can phone or email the Parish Office to reserve your places. Every Parishioner is welcome, the more the merrier. Car sharing will be available for those needing a lift there an back on the day.

'Cafe Cinema At The Bridge' (Evening)
Café Cinema At The Bridge.
Do come along to Café Cinema At The Bridge. There will be two films in September- "Remember Me" on 6th Evening and "Casablanca" on 29th Afternoon. (Refreshments are included).
There is no charge as such for entry to the film evenings; the project will be funded by donations. However in order to cover the costs a donation of about £5 per film is invited.

All Souls Day
All Souls Day falls on Tuesday 2nd November this year. At Datchet St Mary's we will be observing this day with our traditional Bereavement Service which will be held at 8pm in Church. If you would like to have a friend or loved one remembered by name at the Service, please contact Revd. Peter Wyard via the Parish Office.

Remembrance Sunday Service
Remembrance Sunday this year falls on Sunday 14th November. The Service in Church will begin at 10.00am in order to be at the War Memorial on the Village Green in time for the 'two minutes silence' at 11.00am. There will follow the laying of the Wreaths by members of the Royal British Legion and representatives of the Village Organisations to honour the memory of the fallen in the two World Wars and other more recent conflicts.

Advent Meditation Service
A perfect way to prepare for Advent before the rush that leads up to Christmas. A contemplative Service with music to match to provide some space to think about what the Christmas season really means to us as Christians. Even if you are not a regular worshipper at St Mary's, this could be a Service in a style that might suit you ?

Friends Of St Mary's Christmas Festivity
The Friends of St Mary's (FOSM) are holding their Christmas Festivity at St Mary's Church on Saturday 11th December at 7.30pm. This will be an entertaining evening of seasonal readings with music. Mulled wine will be served ! Admission is free to FOSM Members (and if you join The Friends on the night) otherwise £5 per per adult at the door. This is always 'very sociable' event.
