There has been a church in Swalcliffe for about 1,000 years, but the church as one sees it now was complete by the end of the 14th century, with most of the chancel constructed in the 13th century. It is a fine and unusually large village church with all periods of English ecclesiastical architecture well represented. The church is always open for visits and remains a quiet place for prayer and contemplation in our busy lives.
