This Church is part of the Cranmer Group of parishes, which includes Scarrington, Orston, Whatton, Hawksworth, Aslockton, Thoroton (hence sometimes known as the SO WHAT group!). Thomas Cranmer, Archbishop of Canterbury at the time of the Reformation and author of the Book of Common Prayer, was born in Aslockton and worshipped at Whatton (where his father is buried).

The normal Sunday service pattern is:

1st Sunday in the month

9am             Whatton           Holy Communion (CW)

10.45am      Aslockton          First Sunday Service

6pm             Orston              Evening Prayer (PB)

2nd Sunday in the month

9am             Thoroton          Holy Communion or Morning Prayer (PB)

9am             Orston             Holy Communion (PB)

10.45am      Aslockton         Holy Communion (CW)

3rd Sunday in the month

9am             Scarrington       Holy Communion or Morning Prayer (PB)

9am             Whatton            Holy Communion (CW)

10.45am      Aslockton          Holy Communion (CW)


4th Sunday in the month

9am             Hawksworth     Holy Communion (PB) or Morning Prayer (PB or CW)

9am             Orston              Holy Communion (CW)

10.45am      Aslockton          Morning Prayer (CW)

5th Sunday of the month

Service alternates between Morning Prayer and Holy Communion on a monthly basis. All services are from the Book of Common Prayer (1662)
Every second Sunday at 9:00 AM for 1 hour
Refreshments Book of Common Prayer
