St Leonard

Welcome to our  Grade 1 listed church which has been a place of worship and prayer since before Norman times.  The main features are its squat Norman tower, it’s Tub font from the 11th century.   It is open for private prayer all day every day unless there is a funeral or wedding. All are welcome to this ancient space where people have prayed for centuries, take a slow walk round the church or simply sit for a while.

The Churches of Peak Five welcome all to worship, irrespective of age or faith commitments. There are normally at least two services every Sunday somewhere within our benefice including a communion service at 11:15. If you can’t see showing here the Sunday service or event for which you are looking, click on the arrow in the purple ‘Our Benefice’ box. The ‘Services and Events’ page there will show all services and events within the Benefice.
