The Church of The Good Shepherd is situated in North Thorpe. The Church was built in the 1950s to serve the village of north Thorpe.

The church is situated at the junction of Thunder Lane and St Williams Way. On the 4 October 1951 the Bishop of Norwich dedicated this church.

In May 1994 the Bishop of Thetford, Hugo de Wall opened the St Andrew's Centre at the rear of the Church of the Good Shepherd, the foundation of which was laid by Mrs Winnie George on 8 September 1993.

The St Andrew's Centre is available for hire at very reasonable rates. Details of availability via email.

This Church is not registered for weddings.

Holy Communion
Every Sunday at 8:00 AM for ½ hour
Cafe Church
This is a contemporary expression of Church for those with young families or for those who are not used to formal services. At the St Andrew Centre adjacent to the Church of the Good Shepherd, on the last Sunday of the month at 10am. The style of worship is very informal, with drinks and light refreshments available and the "�service"� would last only about half an hour. Contemporary music, some biblical work and prayer will constitute the main ingredients.

Sung Eucharist
Every Sunday at 11:15 AM for 1 hour
Family Friendly


Holy communion
Said Holy communion. This is followed by coffee in St Andrews Centre adjacent to the church
Every Wednesday at 9:30 AM for ½ hour


The Office at St Andrews Centre, Brenda James Close is open every Thursday between 6 - 7pm. This is where you are welcome to meet the clergy. You will be able to collect forms / book Baptisms, Weddings, etc.
Every Thursday at 6:00 PM for 1 hour
