St Francis of Assisi

The Church of St Francis of Assisi Thorpe Willoughby is the only church in the village and is an Anglican and Methodist partnership that welcomes everyone. We are a thriving community who meet regularly to worship, pray and support each other. Sunday worship is at 10.30 am and we offer a variety of services including Holy Communion, Celtic Communion and Methodist led worship.

The church is a multi-use space with flexible seating. We have a small kitchen which is equipped with basic crockery and cooking facilities. There is one unisex toilet with access and baby change facilities. Parking space can be found to the rear of the church through the double gates.

There are a range of community activities each week including gentle movement exercise sessions and craft groups. Our church is used regularly by the over 55 group, WI and the Parish Council. Our church family offer messy church, regular coffee mornings, a dementia friendly 'Soup and a Song', and a range of other fundraising/social activities. Further details can be found on the Services and Events tab, and also in the Thorpe Willoughby News.

At St Francis’ we are serious about safeguarding children and adults. We will take seriously any issues that arise, notifying and seeking advice from the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor where necessary. Our Safeguarding Representatives are Cathy Rodgers, [email protected] 01757 704303, and Jan Tetley, [email protected]
