St Peter ad Vincula - Tibberton

You are very welcome to St Peter ad Vincula, Tibberton.

We are a small church set upon a hill on the edge of the village of Tibberton in Worcestershire. We attract people of all ages and outlooks to services that range from the contemporary to the traditional, from the informal to the formal and we would love to meet you.

We welcome many visitors each year and are always open for prayer and contemplation. If you are an enquirer, visitor, worshipper or pilgrim, we are here to help you.

Our title means 'St Peter in Chains,' a story from the Acts of the Apostles, chapter 12, where St Peter is rescued from prison by an angel. The Collect prayer for 1 August says this - 'O God, who didst deliver thy holy Apostle Saint Peter from his bonds and suffer him to depart unhurt: vouchsafe, we pray thee; to deliver us from the bonds of our sins, and of thy mercy preserve us from all evil.'

Safeguarding

"Our Parish of Hadzor with Oddingley & Tibberton is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Worcester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO John Thornes at [email protected] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor at [email protected], or on 01905 732800. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
