We are part of the Anglican Parish of Tilehurst St.Catherine and Calcot St.Birinus.
Our Parish Purpose is to "Worship God and show that Jesus' love makes a difference in reaching, serving and caring."
St.Catherine of Siena Church and Centre is a resource for the whole Parish. Here in worship St.Catherine's congregations seek to meet with God and with each other. We seek to respond to the living God active among us.The sense of God's presence grows week by week.
Currently we are looking to further develop the centre for community and church.
Our worship is Charismatic, emphasizing the presence of God among us and using the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. We look for "Signs and Wonders" and witness people brought to greater wholeness in body, mind and spirit.
We have Easter and Summer holiday clubs and weekly activities for young people of all ages.
There is a on-going program of reaching out to the Parish through visiting and prayer request slips.
We love to welcome families into the friendly church family. If you would like to talk about Thanksgiving and Baptism please contact us - we are sure that you and your family will enjoy our "Family Time" at 11am in the church hall. we meet informally and enjoy being with God together for refreshments, a story and a song.
Cornwell Community Church offers another Anglican District Church in the Parish. We are proud to continue to carry the St.Birinus name forward in our Mission initiatives. Our aim here is to work with other churches in the area to share and show the Good News. We have a particular concern for the lonely and the isolated. The St.Birinus building is now run by Reading Community Church and there is regular worship and events held there.
The Church is the people not the buildings- why not join us in the journey - we will be pleased to experience God's presence with you.

Sunday
A quiet, reflective, liturgical yet friendly service to start the day in God's presence. We sit together at the front of the church, there is a short address on the Lectionary Readings and time for reflection. The service includes an older style liturgy for Holy Communion and on the first Sunday Morning Prayer. Coffee is served between the end of this service and the 9.30 service so that the church community can meet together.
Except when All Together United Parish Service is held. every Sunday at 8:00 AM for 50 minutes
A chance to become more aware of the reality and increasing presence of God together. There are times of silence, worship, testimony, healing and an address. We aim to listen to what God is saying and respond to it. We aim to experience the presence of God through Word, Spirit and Sacrament in a service that is both Charismatic and Liturgical. The service includes Holy Communion on a least 3 Sundays each month an important moment when we come together before God and receive from God,allowing time to be touched by the living God among us. Once a month there is an in- depth exploration of a passage of scripture through which we allow God to meet with us and minister to us. Services frequently contain times of ministry in the power of the holy spirit - laying on of hands and anointing.
Every Sunday at 9:30 AM for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
We explore and discover together the riches of God's message to us in the Bible. We do this by thinking, praying and discussing. We then put what we have discovered into action by listening to God and letting the Holy Spirit move among us in power.
