We are part of the Anglican Parish of Tilehurst St.Catherine and Calcot St.Birinus.
Our Parish Purpose is to "Worship God and show that Jesus' love makes a difference in reaching, serving and caring."

St.Catherine of Siena Church and Centre is a resource for the whole Parish. Here in worship St.Catherine's congregations seek to meet with God and with each other. We seek to respond to the living God active among us.The sense of God's presence grows week by week.

Our worship is Charismatic, emphasizing the presence of God among us and using the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. We look for "Signs and Wonders" and witness people brought to greater wholeness in body, mind and spirit.

We have Easter and Summer holiday clubs and weekly activities for young people of all ages.

There is a on-going program of reaching out to the Parish through visiting and prayer request slips.

We love to welcome families into the friendly church family. If you would like to talk about Thanksgiving and Baptism please contact us - we are sure that you and your family will enjoy our special ALL AGE 11.30 service. Here as a growing congregation we meet informally and enjoy being with God together. In the informality God moves in presence, power and peace.

Cornwell Community Church offers another Anglican District Church in the Parish and from October 1st we have been proud to carry the St.Birinus name forward as we add yet another District Church to the Parish. This great figure of mission will be an inspiration to us as we look for God's plan for the future.

The Church is the people not the buildings- why not join us in the journey - we will be pleased to
experience God's presence with you.

Sunday

Early Service
A quiet, reflective, liturgical yet friendly service to start the day in God's presence. We sit together at the front of the church, there is a short address on the Lectionary Readings and time for reflection. The service includes liturgy for Holy Communion and on the first Sunday Morning Prayer. Coffee is served after the service do that we can share news and get to know each other better.

Coffee
The 9.30
A chance to become more aware of the reality and increasing presence of God together. There are times of silence, worship, testimony, healing and an address. We aim to listen to what God is saying and respond to it. We aim to experience the presence of God through Word, Spirit and Sacrament in a service that is both Charismatic and Liturgical. The service includes Holy Communion on a least 3 Sundays each month an important moment when we come together before God and receive from God,allowing time to be touched by the living God among us. Once a month there is an in- depth exploration of a passage of scripture through which we allow God to meet with us and minister to us. Services frequently contain times of ministry in the power of the holy spirit - laying on of hands and anointing.
Every Sunday at 9:30 AM for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Coffee
The 11.30
An All age event with Baptisms or Thanksgivings on 1st Sundays as required. Informal worship and sharing together forthe young and young at heart. All ages and abilities very welcome - some of our songs incorporate signs. There are flags to wave in the quiet moments and instrument to bash in the noisy ones. There is prayer Dog to help us to pray and know that God loves us.Everything is used to help us enjoy God's presence. It's a great place to be.
