St Mary the Virgin, Trawden

Welcome to St Mary’s, Trawden, your Community Church. We are a happy, friendly Church, offering people of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to meet with, learn more about and worship God together. St Mary’s has a rich history celebrating traditional Church festivals and events as well as the privilege of sharing with local families in baptisms, weddings and funerals. Everyone is very welcome. It will be lovely to see you.

There are normally services on Sunday mornings at 09:30.  There are also Sunday services at our sister churches Christ Church Colne (normally 11:00), and St Michael's Foulridge (normally 09:30).

Three Sundays a month there will be a communion service with music and hymns.  Once a month there is an All Age Service often led by members of the Church and the Music Group.

Our Rector is the Rev Canon Andy Froud.  Andy joined us at end of January 2023 having previously been a popular priest in Clitheroe, and he also serves Christ Church and St Michael's Foulridge.  Andy is helped by the Rev David Hargreaves who is our Associate Priest.
