St Laurence's is a very old (originally Saxon)
Church and is set in an extensive and peaceful
Churchyard which adjoins fields and woods.
Inside it is quiet and simple and has a welcoming
atmosphere which contributes to the peace and
beauty of this holy place.

A modern feature is the Millennium Window over the
West door, which the Parish community generously
gave in 2000. This depicts various scenes of life
in the Village of Lurgashall, both past and
present.

Lurgashall is part of a combined benefice, being linked to the neighbouring Parishes of Ebernoe and Northchapel.

Please note that with effect from Monday 5th August and until further notice, this Church will be in interregnum and will not have a Priest-in-Charge.

For this reason it will not be possible to hold a service in St. Laurence’s every Sunday.  However, arrangements have been made with our linked Parishes of Northchapel and Ebernoe, and there will be a service in at least one of the Churches each Sunday, on the following rota:

First Sunday in the month                  -           LURGASHALL

Second Sunday in the month              -           EBERNOE

Third Sunday in the month                 -           LURGASHALL

Fourth Sunday in the month               -           NORTHCHAPEL

Fifth Sunday in the month                   -           The service will rotate between the Parishes
