I want to welcome you to St. John’s!

I know it can be quite daunting coming into a new church, so, to help you discover what St. John’s is all about we’ve put a ‘Welcome Pack’ together. In it you will find lots of information about our church and its activities. We hope there is something for everyone—from the youngest to the oldest. Please use the blue links to the right of the page view the “Welcome Pack” pages

We have tried to sum up our vision for St. John’s in a mission statement: “Our aim is to know Christ better and make Christ better known.” Through a growing relationship with Jesus Christ we look to become more effective servants and witnesses for him in our local community.

Central to this vision is Sunday Worship and our mid-week Home Groups where the teaching of the Bible is taken seriously and carefully applied to our lives today. All this influences what we do, from our work with younger children, to our evangelism and outreach and to the way we try to care for our community.

We hope this “Welcome Pack” will serve as an introduction to St. John’s and help you to see where you might fit in.

If you are new to the Christian faith do consider joining one of our START or Alpha Courses where you can meet people and discover more about God in an informal and relaxed atmosphere.

If you have any questions about START and Alpha or anything else in this pack please speak to me (you can contact me on 01422 363623) or one of the Church Wardens.

God bless
