St Peter’s is set Wawne, an East Yorkshire village. The parish includes Kingswood, Kingswood Parks and North Bransholme in Hull as well as Wawne, Meaux and the farms in between. We aim to meet the spiritual and pastoral needs of people living in all these places. We have a welcoming congregation, serving coffee, biscuits & friendly conversation for about 30 minutes prior to our weekly 11am Sunday services. Details of services, after school club and special events can be found using the links here. You can also contact us for information about uniformed groups, weddings and baptisms.
St Peter’s Church dates back to the twelfth century. The chronicles of the nearby Cistercian Meaux Abbey (of which only earthworks remain) contain records of Wawne church. Chalk and stone quarried at Hessle and Brantingham were transported to Wawne to build Meaux Abbey and it is likely that the materials for St. Peter's also came from these sources. The building has been added to and altered over the years, but it retains the simple peaceful character of a mediaeval country church.

A shorter version of Holy Communion
Every fifth and last Sunday at 11:00 AM for ¾ hour
A relaxed, often informal Service with participation of local Brownie Pack and Tuesday Club children. All families are welcomed especially those who have recently been involved with Baptisms.
Every first Sunday at 11:00 AM for 50 minutes
Every second and fourth Sunday at 11:00 AM for 1 hour
Every third and fifth Sunday at 11:00 AM for 1 hour
Tuesday
Craft orientated Christian-Teaching after(primary)school get together for 4-11 year olds.
Every Tuesday at 3:30 PM for 1 hour
Join us at The Kingswood, on Kingswood Retail Park ,for coffee, chat, a dvd, a quiz & light hearted look at theme of the day
Every third Tuesday at 7:00 PM
Saturday
A six week course starting on February 11th, designed to help us explore our Christian faith. Particularly suitable for those who are just beginning to think about what they believe. Let us know if you are interested or for more information ring 370414, please.
