St. George's is a Parish Church, with a local, diverse and friendly congregation.

Events and groups:

A Children’s Church with three classes for different age groups

A lunch every week on Wednesday at 12.30

‘Rock Solid’, a young people’s group

Music groups which play on some Sunday mornings and at other times

Study groups on Sunday evenings, during Lent, and at other times

Occasional activity days on Saturdays

Jumble sales and auctions

A craft club

Social events and concerts

Community drama is a speciality

New and occasional members are always welcome at St. George’s

The Parish of East Greenwich contains the two communities of Westcombe Park (served by St. George’s Church) and East Greenwich (served by Christ Church, East Greenwich) and it also contains the Greenwich Peninsula where there will soon be 10,000 new homes, a sports and music arena (in the dome), office space and a hotel. The Vicar of St. George's is site chaplain.

Sunday

Holy Communion
a modern language service with plenty of participation and a variety of preachers. At St. George's everyone who wishes is welcome to receive communion. Refreshments are served after the service. The Children's Church also meets at 11 a.m. during termtime (there are three age-groups), and on the first Sunday of the month children join adults throughout the service and the Children's Church helps to lead the service. Baptisms: Anyone who lives in the parish is welcome to be baptised at St. George's. Baptisms happen during the 11 a.m. service on Sundays.
